The Black Church (Marienkirche - Biserica Neagra)
Curtea Johannes Honterus 2, Phone: (40) - 68 - 14 2224.
Admission 0.5$.
The largest church between Vienna and Istanbul, was built in 1385 over an earlier church destroyed by Mongol invasion. It can be seen from Piata Sfatului (Sfatului Square). His name cames from its black walls at the time after the "Great Fire" 1689, when a large part of Brasov city was on flames. The church survived to the Turkish raids in 1450.

Piata Sfatului (Sfatului Square)
Situated in the Brasov medieval center, very interesting having old buildings.
Here is the renewed Cerbul Carpatin Restaurant (medieval Hirscherhaus), built in 1545. The specific Romanian delicious food can be enjoyed here.
Another attractions in Brasov are Museums and Tampa Mountain (having on top a restaurant accesible by Cable-Car).
