Busteni resort is situated between Sinaia international resort (4 km) and Predeal ski resort.

Busteni is at the foot of the Bucegi Mountains (Carpathians - Transylavanian Alps), elevation 1,110 m.
There are 25 km to Brasov and 147 km to country's capital (Bucharest)
Busteni, has cool summers (July average 15.5°C) and cold winters (January average -5°C).
Here you can find a tonic and stimulative climate, with clean, ozoniferous air, rich in ultraviolet radiations.
On top of the Caraiman Massif, at 2,484 m altitude, there stands a memorial (a 40 m high cross, made of steel), build between 1926- 1928, in honour of the country's heroes who lost their lives during the First World War.
Busteni has "Babele" and "Sphynx" - wind-modelled stone shapes in the Bucegi Massif, accesible throw cable-car. A modern chair-lift is in construction to the Diham and Poiana Izvoarelor cottages.
The second cable-car from the top of Caraiman mountain link Busteni with Pestera hotel and the unique Monastery in the cave.
SKI: Do you want to ski? The Bucegi Massif has numerous runs and ski-lifts, accesible by cable-car.

 

Heroes Monument, built in 1926 by King Carol, has 40 m height, elevation 2140 m.

 

 

The Heroes Monument is accesible from the top point of the cable-car in 45 minutes marked trail.

You can ski finding here cross-country trails or downhill runs.

"Sphynx" and "Babele" - wind-modelled stone shapes in the Bucegi Massif (2,200 m altitude).

Busteni settlement was founded around the Salonul de Piatra Inn - 17th century.
Mountain trips on marked routes (the Urlatoarea Falls, the Bucegi Plateau - Jepi, the Monument of Heroes - Cross, Costila, Omu Peak and Cottage 2,505 m).
Busteni is recommended for recovery treatment (anaemia, nervous asthenia, physical and intellectual strain).

"Sinaia is another popular mountain resort, with excellent skiing facilities. It was developed in the second half of the 19th century by the first king of independent Romania as royal summer residence. Peles Castle is very impressive and is now a museum."
